To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather

Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

"I get out my work and have a show for myself before I have it publicly.
I make up my own mind about how good or bad or indifferent it is.
After that the critics can write what they please.
I have already settled it for myself so flattery
and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.

A delicate yet powerful beauty, Mina. And, oh, there's that gorgeous light again.. grin! Ahh, very familiar in the piece..and an addition that, in my mind's eye, simply pulls all of the inherent beauty here, together. Another stunner, mi hermana! (As if we could expect to find anything less from you! Ha!) Sheer loveliness! B*B ~n hugs! :)

Breathtakingly beautiful - as usual :-)

Delightful illustration of being in the "now". We do tend to squander our "nows" with worrying about tomorrow, fretting over yesterday's events .. and BAM, "now" is history, a chain of wasted moments.

Very lovely work!

This is a beautiful piece with a chinoserie touch.. The image of the girl seem to be the actress Zhang zhiyi from the movie Geisha. Also, it would be better if you translate your phrase Tomorrow does not exist There is only this moment There is only now into Chinese texts (your present Chinese texts on the image is all mixed up with no meanings. There is a romantic Chinese saying which is translated to something like: Doesn't matter it ever lasts forever, Just cherishes the moment I once loved. Congratulations! For being the Artist of the Month and thanks for sharing your art work with us. Happy New Year 2008!

Hai Anjin-San.. i mean, Yes Mina :) Masterly work. I Love Shogun too. Much to learn about feelings from that. You captured this moment perfect i would say. Oriental touch all over this picture. Amazing colour selection too. Love that expression on Mariko's face. #;o) A very nice and mysterious expression it is. Love the canvas woven background look too. Looks a bit like oil on canvas.+5
