Description

Guadalupe Mountains National Park McKittrick Canyon Ok, no more national geographic explanations of the canyon...lol... :) This picture is above me as we head into the canyon. Yesterdays upload showed the sun over my shoulder, I also noticed on my hike the moon was also up, Have a look. It is the little white spot center above the ridge. Tomorrow I am going to show you some wildlife I passed on the way in! ;) grin.... Look at the picture full size, for best view! All comments and advice are welcome. If you are seeing this series for the first time, I explain all about this place with the first four pictures posted. Thank y'all for all the comments and advice on my last post. Y'all are great. Todd

Although this terrain is much too bleak for my liking, it has been an interesting series to see the terrain. Deserts have their beauty for some folks. I have heard there is a canyon with beautiful trees and a lake or creek down there. I only drove past Guadalupe Peak one time, and I'm afraid that area is much too barren for my taste. But still, an interesting series of your trip down there. :)

I can hardly wait to see the ... wildlife. I love macros (LOL). This is a wonderful capture of this jutting rock formation. It is easy to see that you enjoy this place.

I like how the angle of the shadows matches the angle of striations in the rock! Nice to see the moon in your shot and the plant in the very foreground in such focus. Overall a great shot!
