Description

Guadalupe Mountains National Park McKittrick Canyon Ok, no more national geographic explanations of the canyon...lol... :) I dedicate this one to MrsLubner... who has been cracking me up with all her comments on this place... :) I promised you wildlife. Here are some of them....LOL.. :) 150 El Paso middle school kids, probably not what you expected. Well me neither! They were great and on their way back from 4 mile hike and lunch, school field trip. Believe me their teachers looked a lot more tired then these guys. They are at about mile three on their way out in these pictures. I know this place looks unforgiving and desolate, but this is tropical compared to El Paso..grin :) I played with all kinds of post work effects. Drop shadow, borders, color mask, cropping, resizing, and some others I dont remember.. ;) Let me know what you think. I had a couple comments about the thumbnails and the pictures not being the same, I had choose to do that to keep the series all the same. I never see my own thumbnails so it did not make a difference on my side. I can see how it might be confusing on y'alls side, so after today I will let RR generate the thumbnails for the remainder of the series. Thanks for the heads up! Todd Look at the picture full size, for best view! All comments and advice are welcome. If you are seeing this series for the first time, I explain all about this place with the first four pictures posted. Thank y'all for all the comments and advice on my last post. Y'all are great. Todd

My gosh! I am so glad you made it out alive. These animals have been known to totally devour an adult human in less time than it takes to shake a finger at them! In that top right shot, it simply chills me to the bone the way that large one in the back of the pack turns to size you up. And I'm glad you weren't lured in by the innocent look on the faces of those two in the bottom right shot. You are a brave man, Todd. Next time, lift a much smaller rock to see what is under it. Apparently you turned over one that was large enough to hold an entire colony of these creatures. Learn by your mistakes... Wonderful collage.
