Description

Just trying to show how big this place is. It stretches way beyond the field into the trees in the far distance, where woodland burials are done Brookwood Cemetery was consecrated by the Bishop of Winchester on 7 November 1854 and opened to the public on 13 November 1854. At that time Brookwood Cemetery was the largest burial ground in the world. Today this is no longer true, but it remains the largest Cemetery in the UK, and is probably the biggest in Western Europe. Since 1854, over 235,000 people have been buried here. Thank you for looking, as always any comments or suggestions welcome 8~) **Best Viewed Full Size**

It looks like you could get lost in this place David, I hope you carry a compass with you. Such a vast place, I hope they have a master plan. Lovely lighting on the distant field. Bravo!!!!!

There is a profound sense of stillness in this image and the colors work incredibly well in adding to that sense. This is a great photo, like the others and the POV is excellent and DOES imply the vastness of the place.

Looks vast, I think you have captured that very well. Even here, in the cemetery we see nice warm autumn colours.
