Description
I read about TopMod in 3D World magazine. It's free, open source, takes some getting use to, but offers a great way to model math-inspired objects. This is one version of a structure I made, that I finished off as a wireframe version. Imported in Carrara and rendered. Other versions in the works are smoothed versions of the solid model with some additional details done in Hexagon (see below), and a solid version that looks like a lab prop from a crazy professor that has found a great new energy source.
This program is an interesting tool to look at!

Dang, thats totally cool. I love mechanical renders. This is about as mechanical as you can get. Keep it up I'd like to see more
