Description

This image shows the power of Carrara. I whipped it up in half an hour or less, with the spline modeller and replicator (the hole created by a simple gray scale white map with a black spot) as important tools. In the background there is a picture of a wall with ivy branches, to get some inner body feel. I made it from an example made of some ugly gif pictures, so I kind of new what had to be pictured. The ooze came after my first version, which way surpassed what the scientist was expecting. The ooze are flattened metaballs. This portrays an antibioticum attacking a virus, if I understanded correctly. It accompanied an article about the same subject, in a medical magazine. I made it a couple of months ago but had to await publication. Quick and easy! added: DOF in post in PS, it would take days in Carrara

Well done. I've done physics illustrations with Vue 4, and was hoping Carrara pro would be a good step up. Seeing this fine work makes me feel better about getting Carrara pro.
