A work in progress! Hi! My name is Melinda. I am happily married to the love of my life and we have a daughter who is in college. I live in Southern California and I am an amateur photographer. My husband bought me my Kodak P880 for Christmas in 2006. I looked at it and thought I'd never figure it out! I've only taken regular every day snapshots and never looked through the lens in a "creative" way. Then in March 2007 someone introduced me to Renderosity.  In May, I became brave and decided to upload my first photo... I haven't been able to put my camera down since! LOL. I still have a lot to learn, but I sure am having fun doing it. I have come a long way though. This time last year, I couldn't even put a photo on the computer! Now I have started to research DSLR cameras ... Who knows what the future brings! Update: I now have that DSLR :) Was the best Christmas (2008) gift!   I did the research and picked it out and Santa put it under the tree. It's a Canon Rebel Xsi .

I have a new DSLR, the Canon 7OD. A gift from my husband for Mother's Day. So much to explore!

Very interesting postwork and bark image:)

Your added texture to the already deep texture of this bark is very interesting and I like it. This is an amazingly deep and aged look for sure.

Say, is that a canvas or burlap texture effect I see used in this photo of the craggy bark? Difficult to believe that bark could be this rocky, like the closeup of a meteror flying about in space. Terrific lighting in this effort. And, I think your bark photos came out pretty good. I thought you had several more to show. Anyway, stay tuned for an onslaught of my bark pictures to come. Not all at once, of course. Gotta break it up to avoid boredom among the viewers.

Hey you have done great postwork on this one, there is nothing better than playing around to see what you can come up with. Well this looks great and added some more interest to that old craggy tree. Congratulations!!!

Looks to me like a reindeer crashed into a large mud wall. You can see the antler marks deep into the surface. Ok, maybe that's just me! Cool bark texture. Todd

WOW! Such a gorgeous image! It is a great 'last peek' here at Renderosity until I arrive at my next destination later today, and it is a Fantastic image! I love the canvas effect you applied to this already stunning piece of work. It adds an extra textural dimension that makes an already compelling piece even more so! I DEFINITELY love this piece!
