Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
Here is another new Moth for me. This one also has a color in it's name so it fits with the last 2 images I posted - A white-tipped Black Moth, A White-faced Ringed Fly and now this Yellow-collared Scape Moth.
Once again I have to remark on how many different species of little critters I find in the Goldenrod that grows wild all over my property. Although it has almost all gone to seed now, I still find an abundance of life there. I have a row of these Goldenrod plants along one side of my pond's levee. They are not particularly pretty plants (6 foot tall stems with leaves growing directly from these stems and a top that does produce thick groups of bright yellow blooms in fall. I imagine there are domesticated variates that are just as attractive to bugs and a lot prettier, lol.

A wonderful macro, of a moth I have never seen before either. But I can say that of many bugs, because I've never looked before... times are changing. LOL. Anyway, I always look forward to what you have posted and anticipate the next one!

This is the second one that you have posted with that sort of antenna, I have never seen them like this before. It looks like a feather or comb. I wonder if it is new to you as well Lee? Also like the white tipped this does not have the characteristic fuzzyness. I feel that I have to agree with Ana when she says, quote "how can we make comments on your Perfect Macros !!!!" unquote. Well most of the time they are just about that "perfect". Is that a bonus that I see down by the right leg, middle? it looks like a tiny ant of some sort Another excellent shot and another new species for me as well. Bravo!!!!!
