Description

I was poking around in my many waterfall pics earlier, and it occurred to me that this one would make a good B&W, so I converted it in PhotoShop, and here it is. I took it in July of 2006 in Mt Rainier NP, and posted a color version of it here. I hope you like the B&W and don't mind a repost. Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's upload of Mt Hood. I appreciate them all, and I'm glad so many of you liked it.

Hey, I know this place. :) It is a lovely shot, Richard, especially the silky water. I still prefer the color one though, as it is such an impressive waterfall.

Nice capture of the beautiful waterfalls. Interesting designs and patterns of the rock formation. I like that bridge, its part of the landscape. Aloha

Who ever would have thought b/w would do this justice!? But it is magnificent and it has given it so much depth and fullness! Just an incredible shot!

I'm not a huge fan of B&W but I like this. I really like the bridge in this and how it blends in with the landscape.

This converted well to B&W. It enhances the sense of movement and makes lovely patterns.

The Black & White really makes it look like an old photo to me!! Excellent shot!!! Soon you'll have enough for a tabletop book of waterfalls? right??

Wow, black and white sure gives your work a different look. I find the fence line at top, exceptionally captured detail. Five stars!

Wow!!! There is something timeless about this in B&W!!!! It reminds me of old photographs my parents had of their trips to NPs. I use to love going thru those pictures over and over again. This is one I would never get tired of looking at too!!!! Well done!!!

This is a great shot. I love how you framed in the waterfall with the bridge and the rocks that surround it. I'm such a fan of black and white too, it makes for a more dramatic effect. Nice work!
