Description

Deception Pass, separating Whidbey Island from the mainland of Washington State, practically in Tara and Akemi's back yard. I know this has been shot a million times, but I liked the colors and the boat, so I hope you'll bear with me. I took this several years ago on the way to Victoria BC for a vacation.

I have been over this bridge two different times. The last time there was so much fog we couldn't see a thing down below and I was very disappointed. This is a great shot, and I was happy to see that you posted something. I've been missing you in the gallery.

Believe it or not, I've never actually seen this "most memorable spot" in our own region, so I'm very glad to see it here! I'm amazed it seems narrower than Hood Canal or several of our grand rivers, no wonder they named it as they did! Fantastic shot as well with the boat captured there and the balance of blue and green given by your POV.

A beautiful picture. I remember when they towed the first captured Killer Whale through this pass in 1964.
