Description

i got up this morning thinking i might be lucky enough to get out and take some pics ,that is until i opened the blinds and saw the weather again .it might fair up as the morning wears on or it could wait until 30 minutes until dark like yesterday and then the sun will poke through lol :o).. this is a pic of the paddle ferry car and passenger that runs from dartmouth to kings wear .there is no other way of getting across without detouring miles out of your way. again this is from our hols in june this year during our stay in devon . sorry about not getting to you all yesterday but putting them pics up yesterday of the trains reminded me i still had to finish a route i`ve been working on with my train simulator lol :o)..i will catch up though thanks as always for your support and comments mick

great shot! what a fabulous steamer and I love the houses in the background, such character! Told you to send your weather this way, but I think you might have as the weather guys are keeping an eye on a tropical low off the coast which just might be our first tropical cyclone (hurricane) for the season...they are expecting about 5 or 6 to develope this summer season...Lets hope not!

Well the sun is shining here at the moment Mick, but if you try and go anywhere the traffic is grid locked due to lots of roadworks in my area, yesterday I had an appointment just down the road. I set off half an hour before hand, it took me 20 minutes to travel 500 yards. So I don't go out much not that way anyhow. Great shot here, like everybody else so far I love that background, all that colour, they are all pastel colour as well so very easy on the eye. You know what I mean, not brash and in your face. I didn't know there was a paddle ferry there. I'm just looking at the 4x4 at the back, it looks very close to the water. A very busy shot with lots to see. Bravo!!!!!

Its amazing to me that ferries can sit so low to the water. They carry such a massive amount of weight too. No matter how you veiw a ferry, you have to tip your hat to their strength and endurance. Great shot!
