Description
the age of steam maybe long gone in some respects but it still lives on through the heritage railways throughout england and this is the lydham manor. i`ve managed to locate some details about it for anyone who`s interested :o)..for today`s pic i`ve used sepia ,again just to give it a look of authenticity.this is at the other end of the line at paignton and the length of the journey is 7 miles .i think this shot has a real atmosphere about it, but then as always i`ll leave it for you to judge.
thanks for being a friend and for your continued support and comments
have a great week

You've done a good bit of homework there Mick, Its another nice sepia shot and yes you have captured the atmosphere well, with what looks like the engine driver using the water tank.

Great picture. So this really is a working steam engine train? Your picture is so well done I can't tell. Is it going to pull those passenger cars? Todd

Yes this does have real atmosphere. I can remember when this was a common site on the various railway companies of old ie LNER, LMS etc. Pity about the modern carriages on the RH side

I remember seeing old water stops along train tracks even as a child. This shot has a lot of detail including the clock on the post. Excellent.
