My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Splendid effect with this texture... marvelous work my friend!;-)

Ah yes, potato chips flapping in the breeze. At least that's what these gigantic petals remind me of. Good capture with subsequent postwork, Tara! It's fun to explore and experiment with the various light filters. But forgive me if I don't recognize this particular species of flora. It couldn't be some kind of rose, could it?

I like the canvas texture to it and the momochromatic color scheme :D

It's great to play with the mouse isn't it and the effects can be amazing eh! Wow I love the fabric look to this beautiful rose. You really have had some fun with this one and I love the result.

I think you might be mistaken about the straight part, I see lots of curves, bends, circles, concaves, convexes, curls, sweeps, and swoops, in fact there is hardly a straight line on the whole picture! ... Thats what makes it beautiful! don't be so hard on yourself! ...lol.. :) Todd p.s. I really like the matte too! I had some greeting card printer paper like this once.

Well, that's very clever! I bet the rose was great to start with, and you've done marvelously interesting stuff here! Keep teaching please, I'm an eager pupil!

It's very interesting that one can take a lovely capture, such as this, and transform it into an artform. I'll file that idea away for future reference.
