Description

This is just a single moment captured on a rather soggy and absolutely COLD day; it wasn't really a day for "fun photography" but I managed to capture quite a few shots. It's low season in Prague, which basically means that you can see parts of the city without seeing other tourists and visitors. I'd walked along the bank of the Vltava river--freezing, despite my warm coat--and came across these gulls. They didn't seem to mind the cold...in fact, they were blissfully unconcerned with everything around them, more or less. This is just a quick post...I am pressed for time and just taking a break between unexpected challenges here...so I will have to actually browse and comment on other photos this weekend, but I look foward to that, and hopefully you enjoy THIS image! Thank you for looking and commenting, as always, and hopefully everyone's staying comfortable and warm.

So you 'whisper' gulls now Chip? Is this one of the Neamean gifts that you had to demonstrate during your long and tiring initiation to the Guild of Phasarain Affairs? "Gull Whispering'is a pre-requisite to membership of that secret Guild I understand. (Nice shot for a cold day.)

Beautiful capture...isn't it amazing how we humans will bundle all up and still find the time to complain about freezing when all the little wild creatures of the world wear only their feathers, coats of fur, etc... and never complain, just take each day as it comes...mayve we could all learn something from them...
