Description
On the day after I arrived back in Prague, I visited Střelecký ostrov...the big island in the middle of the Vltava river. The air was damp and cold, and there was only the sound of moisture. Though there is a building on the island itself, I felt as if I had the entire splinter of land to myself. I'd gone to simply look at the river from my favorite vantage point--right in the middle of it--and as I looked in the direction of Prague Castle...the extremely faint,fog-veiled silhouette is what I saw...as it appears here. It was at this time that I was reminded of how brooding and moody the city can appear.
As always, thank you for viewing, and I hope to be able to catch up on viewing and commenting by this weekend or at some time next week. Hopefully. though, this image gives you some hint of what it's like in Prague now. Enjoy.

It would seem bleak, except for the sharpness and clarity, that makes it so good!! The fog just adds to the mystery!!!

It certainly looks like a cold, foggy day, but the effect on the faintly-visible castle is fantastic! Looks like a great day to sit in a warm cafe with a big mug of coffee or hot-chocolate. Nice photograph!

As you know Chip, castles are my thing and I wanted to get closer when I saw this shot! Very atmospheric in its way. You can actually feel the damp.
