Hi Guys...
I'm RGUS, a 3D artist from New Zealand hence the Kiwi Avatar.
I've been using Poser since 2004 and recently begun to use DAZ Studio.
Originally I used the render engines bundled with the base software and it was not until Octane was available did I change engines. I believe iRAY, now supplied with DAZ Studio, does a very good job. However, my development has stayed with Octane since I use both Poser and Studio with Octane for each as the main render engine.
Enjoy!

Ich hoffe in zehn Jahren ist die Computerentwicklung & Poser so weit, das man die Figuren mit den Händen modellieren kann und den Figuren die Haare kämmen kann. I hope the computer design & Poser is so far within ten years, this one can model the figures with his hands and can comb the figures' hair.

It does look rustic and gritty, kind of like a worn photo, but True Grit? She don't look like John Wayne! Or Mattie Ross, for that matter.

It's rare that I like pre-made actions too and very rarely use them but this looks awesome! Great looking character and I love the background, what great colours and textures!

Spectacular image! :D

Yep, that was a good laugh... most of all because I think that you are able to learn whatever you like and much faster than 10 years. And as you like these rusty environments and asked for good background images lately: You may want to check out Placebo's stuff in the marketplace. Lot's of rusty and dirty walls and things!!
Hyp3rnova
That's tight.

Awesome work the txtures really pop off the screen!

I seldom use postwork either, the exception being cover art or title pics, and this one sure looks like cover art, and well done at that. Love it as it is, but I agree with Mikeerson, the poser model seems is flat compared to the background. Comments for improvement might be: more dimensional lighting on the model to show the character's shape - or perhaps slightly more vivid colors might be used instead of/in addition to different lighting.

...Hmmm. An elf...with a samurai sword...in a pink leopard-print leotard and knee-hi's, with metal wings and a sheer scarf. Hmmm... Very interesting :) Is it still Halloween? Is this how elves dress up to go trick or treating? Angels slumming? Ha! You know, I really do like the photoshop filter you used. It really enhances the ambiance of the picture. Tres cool, Mister RGUS. :)
