Description

This was taken earlier this year, what can I say, it's a wasp. Actually it was one of my first macro's. I have been busy all day today and am way behind in signing, I have a pile of ebots but I will get round to them over the weekend, I picked up my doors for the kitchen cupboards today and I've only done three of them so far, I have to alter the hinges on the doors and the rails for the drawers. Being the way I am it takes me ages to do one. My son is coming to help me tomorrow so hopfully we will get them finished then. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make. CC is very welcome. May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are.

A prime reason I haven't started on remodeling my kitchen...I have horrid cabinets and the doors are all hanging cattywampus. I tried once to rehang them and between moving hinges and pounding some back into shape, I was stressed after 10 hours with only 2 doors hanging better than when I started. :-) I am waiting until I make my fortune as a world traveled photo journalist to get the kitchen done properly and I figure in about the year 2381 I should be able to afford all new cabinets in both kitchen and bathroom. :-) And meanwhile, I love your wasp macro. LOL

I am about to embark on a bathroom remodel. I hope I survive the process! (And here you thought this was going to be about wasps!) I'm impressed, my friend! I have no bug pictures in my gallery, and there are two reasons for that. 1) I'm not wild about bugs. 2) They won't hold still for me. (I would post a bug picture if I had one!)

This is an excellent one in my humble opinion Jeff, you have all the sharp detail concentrated on the wasp and not the flower, (I always get it other way round lol) I like that bit of shine on top of its eye. a great shot Jeff. good luck with the kitchen work, it will all be worth it. It would do my head in too.

Lovely macro shot, wonderful colours and lighting. The soft muted tones of the background are the perfect foil for the bright vibrant shades of the the flower.

Great composition. I'd love the focus to be a little more on the flower, too but the way it is now, just draws more attention to the wasp. If this is your first macro... wow! I can't wait to see more!
