An unusual image, Rozanne. Are these runners to launch boats from? At home the rain is incessant, it has been seriously dark all day, and now it is just dark. Glasgow is home to what seems like half a million Scotland kilted and booted football fans. A lot of them are couples but all are trying to find a pub / club showing the big qualifying match with Italy. I have not seen a single Italian flag, nor even a hint of one of the golden 'Azurri'. The game is not being broadcast on 'council telly', i.e. the terrestrial channels ( which we will be losing by 2010 anyways as Westminster sells off the wavebands ) but only on Sky Sports. Luckily there is still the radio. Unluckily, after about a minute, Italy scored. Scotland 0 - 1 Italy was the score at half time, and I reckon the referee and linesman will be lookling for wetsuits before coming back on.. ;o) So, enjoy the sun over in Catalunya, and just close you eyes. Try to imagine that the wind is 'bracing' and that you are about to head back down from Crinkle Crags, and a nice hot bath... Ignore the cutting of the straps of your back pack, and leave that slab of Kendal Cake for later.. Crunch into those nice cherry flavoured Fishermens' Friends your auntie gave you instead. Now isn't that better. Now open your eyes, get back on your bicycle and pull your goggles on as you head into the blasting / blasted sand. Regards, John

Beautiful crashing waves and the silver runner adds a lot of interest.

......understated photo of an everyday scene - but with that subtle 'something extra' that elevates it to an art photo - very well seen.

This is magnificent art! Your composition leaves me breathless. You captured the power dynamics of the ocean, as well as a great natural minimalist design that is being overtaken. Beyond excellent to me. Hugs, Suzanne
