looks promising and excellent modeling.did you intend on the front not being authentic? the original grille is much taller

thanks:) yeah i'm pretty much just doing this by sight, i don't have the blueprints to go off of. now that you say that, i do recall the headlights being a lot closer to the bumper, so i should probably bring that whole bottom part up about 2 or 3 (relative) inches. finished product in mind is a talking car, like on pixar's "cars." it's for a contest at the animwatch forums (http://www.animwatch.com/forum/index.php). question: should i make windshield the eyes (like on "cars") or should i use the headlights as eyes? i'm kind of leaning toward the headlights, myself.

Looks great to me!

You are headed toward character. The up lifted eyebrows instead of a gentle curve downward from the windshield area and the almost total lack of a grille under the center bar give it a saucy appeal. Yeah! I see where the upper grille bow could go up with the center bar and mesh to make rooom below the bar for the rest of the mesh. This is why you should not look at photos. The POV distortion has to be reerected and unsqueezed. The nice thing is we each have our own strong take on emotion and censorship. That is what is making this one work. Ignore what it really looks like and capture the gist of the 50's. Maybe it should shake it's head like Dick Nixon saying "you won't have me to kick around anymore."
