Description

Maple leaves. I wish I could show you the whole tree, the way it looks when you're standing there, but photographs just don't do it justice. The color of the leaves changes from the top of the tree to the bottom, like someone has faded the colors from red to gold as you go down, with a little green still around the bottom edges. It really is the most spectacular sight. Ah well. Perhaps a better photographer than I could capture it in all its glory. For now, you'll just have to imagine this gorgeous, almost perfect cone of leaves, twenty feet tall, standing alone, looking simply breathtaking. This is just a tiny sample of nature's pulchritude.

I thought at first, it was a pile of leaves, but on closer inspection I can see the branches and bits of sky through them. It must look splendid, for it certainly sound like it. Such beautiful warm colours, signaling the end of growth and the start to winter. Excellent capture and presentation. Bravo!!!!!
