Description
Bryce 5.5, and Poser for the figures. No postwork - I will do some, if only to fix the problem with the clouds, but I thought it would be interesting to display it in its straight-from-Bryce form. Plants are mostly from Traveler / Modulaz, house is from Traveler (with a few modifications). Trees are all Bryce. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy it. Feel free to suggest/criticise... 8-)

Wow! this is really fine! Captures fall as I know it. Just change the guy to a fat, bald, bearded guy and the dog to a little white freckled Jack Russell terrier and it could be me in that picture. Really like this one! Brings back a lot of pleasant fall walks.

Many thanks for all your very kind comments, and for pointing out the problem of the giant dog... The dog is actually the right size, but is very much nearer to the camera than the man - nearer than it seems in the image. The whole scene is very deep on the Z axis, and I've been so used to looking at it 3D that it didn't look strange to me, as I could see how far in front the dog was. However I realise now that when you look at the 2D image for the first time, there aren't enough visual cues to tell you the distance between the characters. Maybe I'll put some weeds at the path side to show the depth, or just move the dog back closer to his master. Fresh sets of eyes are very useful - thanks!

Really tidy little picture, very well done.

Wow this is great. Every posted composition in Renderosity deserves praise but I have to say that most of the compositions of this gendre fall a little flat because they lack the detail and clarity. Not through lack of craftsmanship but rather due to too much post effect work in photoshop to create a more painted feel. This composition is spectacular and IMHO, really stands out from the sea of compositions of this gendre. Very well done !
