Description
This photo is from Thanksgiving weekend last year. If you watch my gallery, you know that unlike most years at this time we've had nearly no snow. I for one am hoping the snows arrive in earnest soon.
The title reflects the thing I was most thankful for last year... After nearly ten years away from the Pacific Northwest I had returned to the region in June, 2006.
Although the mood may be considered more of a heart-of-winter mood than Thanksgiving mood by some, it was taken essentially a year ago today. By the "heart of winter" we begin to be tired of the snow... ©2007, Windchime Photography.

Silent, magical and so beautiful, Laura. A dream of an image and yes, I can imagine tiredness with the snow. Glorious work. Hugs. Diane. xx

winks to Cytisus Yeah, yeah, snow IS a 4-letter word, but not sure what you're doing living in the mountains if you hate it that much right from the start. ;-)

Stunning image. The glowing snow wraps around trees, home, and ground so brilliantly, as though cotton fluff protects all of the inhabitants. The footsteps are so perfectly set between gazebo and homes. The DOF is amazing and the colours are spectacular. This is a beautiful welcome to the season upon us. I hope this present year is as charming and delightful as the one past.
