Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This is one of those great slice of life images with a VERY URBAN feel...there was a place in Chicago that was similar. This photo is great, its a bit small, but that's probably just a resize-to-post issue. The color capture is brilliant though, I love it. Maybe it's just me, but it reminds me of that X-Files episode where Jody Foster provided the sultry voice for an evil tattoo. I'd go to this place, just to see who goes there, but I have yet to even decide WHAT I want my first tattoo to be.

Well . . . perhaps not. But then, I'm not in the market for a tattoo! If I were, there's a place up here I might go to. It's a tattoo and piercing parlor (Lucky's, I believe), and their tagline is, "Hell yeah, it hurts!"

I think I would look for a cleaner place for a tattoo. The name leaves much to be desired also. Aloha

You know what, I probably would go...well, I'd at least go and check 'em out...if I'd let 'em jab a needle in me a million times, I'm not sure. Beautiful colors! Great capture!!

I would go up to look and if it was clean and hygenic would consider adding to my small but growing collection of body art..much to my Mum's dislike (even if i am over 40) lol...nice shot
