Description

Hi Folks, This image is dedicated to my mate Dave (magnus073). My first cave image!! I have wanted to do a SciFi cave type image for ages, and have tried a few times with no success. Well, this weekend I tried again and finally I managed it! I setup the girl and the futuristic boat in Poser. The girl is A3 with the Blissany by Mariny morph and textures. The hair is Melite Hair (plus3d, mairyr7). The outfit is an old favourite.. TailGunner. I re-textured the outfit, hair and boat model and then imported into Vue. The cave is made up of terrains, some upside down, on their side, etc to create the cave. I tried a few textures for the cave but they were all too this world and I was after other-world. I finally modified a marble texture to achieve the effect I was after. The most difficult part was the lighting, it uses 4 point lights, AO and sunlight, each point with their own individual settings and influences. Finally the whole scene, cave, girl and boat were rendered which took 12 hours (gulp)! An excellent render! I personaly like the diference in color schemes between her and the cave! I like the fact that the cave is a very nice cool blue color while she and her boat are set apart by the reds and burgundy's. I think this creates a very nice contrast between her world and the cave world! I like the numerous details you have taken the time to put into this image! Very well done!
