Description

Aren't these pretty? The twisty drilling part is about half an inch long. I got all excited when I saw these, and couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures. I got home, found a shot I really liked, lined everything up nice and straight, and did the postwork necessary to make it black & white and just the way I wanted it. When I was done, I sat back and looked at the result, and thought, "Hmmm. James would do this at an angle." So I started over, tilted the shot, re-did the postwork, and this is the result. I'm much happier with this version. That process is one of the things I enjoy most about posting on Renderosity. I get all inspired by my fellow artists (awjay, in this case). Thanks, James! :)

This is a good strong image. The abstract is unusual but bold. Excellent.

You found the perfect title...now that I know what it means. I had to look pulchritude up in the dictionary. Great title, great picture.

Glad you did listen to your sense about tilting this shot. Perfect shot and realy one of the kind. I don't remember seeing something like this here in a long time, if ever.

Excellent title Tara, I would go so far as to say perfect title. It is indeed a thing of beauty, I have seen something similar myself years ago but I cannot remember where nor can I remember what it was used for. I am guessing this is on a machine performing a job so to speak. What is it used for? is the question. Not only you has this thirst for knowledge you know. lol. Well spotted and expertly taken shot, with exceptional postwork. I love it. Bravo!!!!! 5 is not enough!

Excellent picture, great post work. pul·chri·tude (pŭl'krĭ-tūd', -tyūd') pronunciation n. Great physical beauty and appeal. [Middle English pulcritude, from Latin pulchritūdō, from pulcher, pulchr-, beautiful.] I looked it up :) Todd
