Description


It took more than 94 hours, mainly because I had to turn the acceleration chache off for one of the cloud layers because of banding. C & C welcome.

This is really impressive... clouds are fantastic. Maybe you could add some colors variations on ground parts, but anyway a great render.

Man this is really looking great... I think the last steps are to add coriolis effects to the clouds (ie. large and small scale swirls). Otherwise, you are on top of the game for planetary renders. I haven't seen any other orbital renders look as good as yours.

Agreed on realism - this looks like a shot from a Space Shuttle. Hopefully TG2's release will allow a degree of cloud "sculpting."
