Description

As we look back over our shoulder, I say welcome to the Chihuahuan Desert. Now don't get all excited, we are not to the top of Guadalupe Peak, but standing on this ridge making our way up toward the top we are a quarter mile above most of the desert floor. Or as PJ calls it, a certain level of Hell! ... :) The haze was thick, thanks to Mexico City or the California fires, or both, who knows? I got that information from the Park Ranger and he was unclear.... :) Enjoy the view, and lets keep going until we reach the top! Thanks for all the comments and advice. Y'all are great! Todd http://www.desertusa.com/du_chihua.html Desert Location. Approximate Desert USA Boundaries: Bordered on the west by Arizona's U.S. Route 191, on the north by Interstate 40, on the east by Texas' U.S. Route 385, and south to the Mexican border.
