Description
As promised, the other old Reading Festival shot.
Today, Whitesnake headlining on Saturday night.
In shot: David Coverdale (vocals), Micky Moody (guitar), Bernie Marsden (guitar), Jon Lord (keyboards) and, behind the smoke and drum kit, Ian Paice. Also on stage at the time: Neil Murray (bass).
This picture was also taken with a Praktica MTL3 with a 200mm lens and available light from the press enclosure. I seem to recall that I was using 200 ASA Kodak Ektachrome but I could be wrong about the film speed. It wasn't particularly fast, though. :-)

Last thing I expected to find at Renderosity. Last year, at a friend's 40th in Berkshire, Bernie Marsden played a set with Mark Stanway for a room of about 50 people. Great fun (not a lot of Whitesnake material, though). IMP.

Whitesnake. Wow...haven't heard about them since the 80's. I agree with myquad (Holly). David was one of the best frontmen in the business back then.

Pretty sure I saw them warm up for Judas Priest in Dayton in '81. Whole era was kind of a blur though! Nice blast from the past!

What a great memory! I didn't get 'into' Whitesnake till '83 when I met my now husband who was a big fan. Still play all the old stuff even now :) Sad news about Mel Galley....
