Description

Again an image I took with my Jenoptik compact in September. The original was (IMO) quite okay, but perhaps too "touristy". So I postworked it to bring out what, to me, felt like the important visual aspects of the Powazkowski cemetery in Warsaw on a day like that - i.e. brightness and contrast as it applies to both natural features and man-made structures as well, and how both can blend together sometimes. Perhaps we are made from dust and will return to it, but when we do, we will also return to nature. It may be a sobering thought, but - to me at least - it's not a sad thought. Carpe diem. :-)

That thought doesn't scare me either. After all, we were nothing before we were born. However, I do believe in a life eternal. Otherwise, everything is a waste! This is a wonderful image, and thought-provoking to be sure. I have some graveyard images to share, perhaps, someday.

I love this! I would be interested in seeing it in black and white.

And perhaps we return to light? This is a very beautiful picture.
