Keep forgetting I have all these cool photos to upload too...things have been hectic 'round here as of late as you might guess.
Anyway, this is the interior of the CIC on the USS Hornet. We lucked out in getting to see it as you can only go in with a docent and they were short staffed that morning.
This isn't actually the cool shot in my opinion, but I wanted to post it up so you'd have it to compare and contrast with once the other one goes up later this week (hopefully).
You can't read it well in this photo even zoomed in, but the station on the left, #16, is the Long Range Air Search which went to a range of 100 miles as I recall. Then there'd be one to it's left (if I recall right) that would be just the inner 10 miles of that air space.
I really should have taken more close up shots so I could remember what they were, but oh well. Maybe next time. :)

Still don't have a clue what I am looking at, but the description helped some. Without that, I'd be utterly lost as I have no understanding of military things.
