Description

Man...trying to get the lighting to match up with this BG was killing me, but I think I finally got it pretty good. *knocks on wood* Wanted to do one of Janus & Caitlyn for my 400th (WOOT!) upload since they're the characters I post/render most often. Sure didn't plan on it taking me over a week to pull it off though. lol We're on round 2 of Chemo now (it was yesterday) and while it's taking a lot out of her, Dana's doing better this time around. Not sure if it's being more careful with what she's eating, the second nausea drug or a combination, but I guess it doesn't matter as long as it works. Thanks for the comments on the CIC...the promised second part should go up tonight (assuming I don't forget :D) John CREDITS ----------- The BG is one of PhilW's fabulous Florence BG's, Janus is in DAZ's 3 piece suit, Cait's in the Hollywood Glitz from DAZ as well. I used chrislenn's fabulous freebie tex for the Wedge Cut hair on Janus...really like how it came out. Cait's still in the Curly Hair from DAZ. Forget which pose set their poses came from...poked around a few before I found the one I wanted. The lighting is a tweaked version of some lights from hmann's Light Magic set. It's got some sun/daylight settings that were working, but was having troubles getting two of them to combine the way I wanted. Many MANY thanks to Meike (SaintFox) for pointing out what I needed to do. It was simple, but key.

The lighting and shadow matching is dead on man! You can tell by looking at the bushes and the shadow they cast. Also- good job on integrating the shadow casting from Poser onto the real ground. Somehow I think a combination of IBL AO using the background image, in addition to a general shadow casting light would look a touch more realistic, just to get the characters to appear a little more like their surroundings. 400th post?! Jeez, I've been on here since 2001 and only have like a 165 or so! You've been busy! Hey, but give my best to Dana- the chemo process is like toxic nuclear war; I have friends that went through it, it can be hell - but she'll get through it and both of you keep your spirits up- that is very important! The cancer will be destroyed!

This was definitely worth waiting for. You got the lights straight on, John! And to think it's your 400th! WOW! Great posing and, as mentioned, fantastic lighting. So happy to hear Dana is doing this round better than the last one. Cheers my heart right up. Give her a huge hug and tell her to give you one from me.

Good for them to be in one of the most beautiful towns of the world g very nicely done! I'm glad to learn that chemo is working fine. It's of course an ordeal as I well know, but one gets used to it over time... When it helps it's worth the ... trouble. (sorry for being so late... I'm behind with everything these days)
