G'day,
and thank you for the chance to introduce myself......
okay, that sounds waaaay too stuffy.... how about this then...... I was raised on Canadian Army Bases which limited the type of grand exposure that my peers would have enjoyed... (In High School, every one of my City Friends would spend Monday mornings talking about Saturday Night Live.... I had no idea what an Ackroyd or a Belushi was....). but you learn.......
I am mostly self taught as no respectable art school would have anything to do with me.
I make movies, live and animated, am one half of a Jazz Duo (called Three Men With Mono.... I play with another animator, the astounding Richard Reeves... and yeah we know, a duo is less than 3 men... but hey....Grand Funk Railroad isn't a Railroad, Iron Butterfly isn't an insect.... and Pink Floyd is well...)
I work in digital photography, Poser (which rules), Bryce, Deluxe Paint 4 (yes I still have working Amiga's), and anything that functions for me...and I'm developing a new animation technique for using with inexpensive digital cameras.
I am currently living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, with 2 robot dogs and my dreams....
and unless you've made other plans, have a great day!

Geez...the only mountain side in the whole area and this Learner (without training wheels) hits it...DOH ! Great textures and the saucer reflections ! (just a suggestion, a few rocks scattered from the impact, would make this more complete, IMHO) Fun sci-fi scene & stay clear of that cough medicine ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Superbe texture pour la montagne et la soucoupe mais le reste est un peu vide non ?, peut être à terminer !

The Roswell Daily Record started a legend: "RAAF (Roswell Army Air Field) Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch In Roswell Region." Roswell news and government officials were bombarded by inquiries from all over the world. Had one of those mysterious "flying disks" from outer space finally been recovered? According to many UFO authors, nothing less than a spacecraft piloted by intelligent extraterrestrial beings was the star of that show. Most popular depictions of aliens attribute the little gray men with the large black eyes as hailing from Roswell. It's everywhere you look -- "The X-Files" TV series, the movie "Independence Day," Fox's Generation-X-traterrestrial teen drama "Roswell," Showtime's "Roswell" movie and any number of cable-TV documentaries. The story usually goes like this: It was a dark, stormy night in Roswell, around the Fourth of July weekend of 1947. An alien spaceship crashed on a ranch near the southeastern New Mexico town. A local rancher came across the wreck and took some of the debris to the sheriff, who brought in the Army Air Force in Roswell. Maj. Jesse Marcel decided to accompany the rancher back to the site. After collecting some curious-looking debris with strange "alien" hieroglyphic markings, Marcel returned to the base. The Army Air Force announced the recovery in a news release. Soon after, Marcel flew to Fort Worth, Texas, to show the material to Gen. Roger Ramey. But Ramey brought out a crummy old weather balloon and radar target for photographers, and tales of the cosmic cover-up began. That wing of the story holds that, while the world placidly accepted the "flying saucer" as just a weather balloon, the government whisked the real alien ship and bodies (and, perhaps, even a living alien) to Wright Field in Ohio. By studying the aliens' technology there, humans learned about lasers, integrated circuits and the like. President Truman formed a top-secret science commission to handle all matters alien, called "Majestic 12." And now the aliens are living peaceably underground in Area 51, helping the United States reverse-engineer even more new gadgets. But the government has successfully and ruthlessly suppressed any official release of any information regarding these Earth-shaking events for more than five decades. Or so the story goes (By Dave Thomas) What really happened in Roswell ? Excellent work dear Collin and very nice texture and color. I agree with Emy, perhaps, some details more and you give more attraction at this landscape, but it's good like that too ! Good day and hugssssssssss :)

Alien autopsies and news paper recounts all make for great fiction! But this is just plain funny! A crashed saucer and yet not a scratch! No alien bondo needed here! Wish my car was made from the same substance.
