Description
Captured 4/10/06 at the beautiful Fullerton Arboretum in beautiful Fullerton, California.
This is my version of a Crystal field, similar to the photo displayed yesterday by MrsLubner.
I'm not sure of the elements contained in these rocks...be it quartz, silica, silver, platinum, titanium, whatever. I'm a photographer, Jim, not a geologist.
And, after what seems eons, we are finally getting some substantial rain around here today.
Have a frenetic friday!

This is a lovely image, bright and cheerful from where I am sitting on a dark cold rainy November night! Thank you for bringing some sunshine into my room tonight Harry. It is amazing the different colouration in the rocks and it is almost as if you have rearranged them for a photo shoot with the greenary added to give a contrast - Great POV and excellent capture - hugs Jane xx

A great image. (Yep... Lots and lots of rains!)

Hey, YOUR rock pile is bigger than MY rock pile. LOL Guess that makes you King of The Pile! And BTW, I'm not quite that skinny any more. I'm 20 pounds heavier. I was just a tad over 110 in that shot and on year two of my recovery after major surgery. I'm sure healthy as a hog now! :-) Thanks for asking. LOL Hey, this shot looks like it was taken near noon. The shadows are not very long. Nice and clear. So how how come you aren't standing in your pile like I was standing in mine?

Actually, it appears you may also be a painter as this has that artistic, painted look to it. Now I'm off to go check out PJ's image!

LOL...that was cute..... Your Jim, just not a geologist :) That was an awesome bit to add in! I still think your image is ever so beautiful! Your lighting works most perfectly, enhancing the details of the rock scene. Very vibrant and such great focus! The location of the little "tree" bushes are fantastic, adding a great depth and beauty to the entire scene! A lovely composition! I love these rocks!

I always had to go to Altadena. You mean there was one in Fullerton all along? Maybe it's how the cook sprinkles corn meal on the floor of the pizza oven that makes me think those who cooked rabbits were fullers. Kind of crazy isn't it?

Lovely shot for PJ, with an array of colors on the rocks, so glad y'all are finally getting some rain!
