Description

Captured 8/9/07 around 7:30 AM, about .90 of a mile/2.896 kilometers from my residence. I find these needles quite attractive in their own subtle way, so I'll be posting more of them as time goes by. Have a wild and wooly weekend!

Cool shot Harry! Love the very bright color of the pine and a tree serves a perfect background for it. So we ganna see more pines in a near future, how good is that.

Ooooooooooohh. VERY nice! :) I love the light. Your chosen POV shows off the spiral beautifully, and the glimpse of bark in the background is quite satisfying. Full marks, my friend!

This looks like a lighter green version of a Monterrey but not as long of needles as a Canary Island. I had replaced them in my lore of Northern and White pines which are identfied by the number of needles in each cluster as well as darkness of green. It all began at Boy Scout camp.

Bravo, well done! Good for you to show the beauty in the small things that most of us pass by without bothering to stop to notice!

I never thought pine needs could look like this. They are very soft and appealing. You have great light here and the pov is excellent. Funny, but I was just thinking today that I really love conifers so much that as soon as I can, I want to take down the camphor trees in my yard and replant with pines. The smell is heavenly.
