Lovely macro, Rozanne. My neighbours cactus bloomed a week or so ago, just before he went into hospital and was still going when he same out. In my old office none of our cacti ever seemed to survive very long. Probably the constant office machinery, and the occasional decanted cold coffee! My father in law was able to grow hundreds in his garden shed, and one of my sons had dozens last year. If this cactus was in red and gold, our priest would have wanted it on the Christmas tree we've just erected on our altar. He does not mind if plants are real or artificial, just that they look good. He did draw the line one year when after insisting that he had to have real blooms on hanging baskets on the pillars, one sprung a leak just after being 'topped up'.. ;o) I am sure that you have designed, printed / hand crafted all your Christmas cards, and are ahead of the game... My sister rocked me on Thursday when she announced that all her overseas cards had been posted, and all the UK ones sent by second class postage. I am struggling just to get time to check the web! Enjoy the peaceful season ahead, Rozanne. I told all my relations that all I wanted was a card, a nice card, but just a card. Last year I got a donkey. A SCIAF surrogate donkey donated in my name ( in the poverty struck Niger republic ) and three copies of the same book. Regards, John.
