Description

Fall; to descend freely by the force of gravity,ie snowflakes. Falling; to drop in pitch or level, ie my outdoor thermometer. Fall-off; What comes from the tree above the woodshed while I'm trying to bring in some wood, ie what landed on my head! Fall; to leave an erect position suddenly and involuntarily, ie what preceded my sitting in the driveway! Fall-back; what I intend to do when the fire is crackling and I have a hot buttered rum in my hand. Fall-out; the explosion that may possibly happen if no-one shows up to work tomorrow, but since I'll be falling-to my second buttered rum by then, who cares?

LOL You have to admit it's very pretty in a picture or if you don't have to shovel it or drive in it, endure the traffic or you watch it from inside by the fire with buttered rum hehe Very beautiful picture and light!

This is a splendid view! So long as I am inside, surrounded by the warmth of the fireplace, with a nice hot chocolate, I could gaze outside at this for eternity--it could be winter all year long! A marvellous perspective you have captured.... the trees look so unharmed, and so beautifully touched by the snow! Thank you so much for evoking this mood in me! Truly makes me excited for the Holiday Season! Must also say, those definitions are awesome! Love the interpretations, and the play!

Its not like you are that far from me but good grief! You got winter, huh? We are waiting for a cold front to blow through tonight and I thought it was cold here but NOTHING like this. This is a stunning winter's scene.

With a view like that, how could you possibly remain indoors? With something like that right outside your door, you just have to gather up the kids, neighbors, and anyone else you could find. Choose up sides, and start throwing snowballs. Great picture, wish it looked like that in my neck of the woods.

This is what I wish it looked like at my house. What a beautiful scene, especially since I don't have to shovel it or drive in it.

A casual existential narrative to accompany your excellent Christmas card capture of the dark image of all encompassing snow enveloping the vista, Chris. Terrific atmosphere in this shot! But now, after all that, back to the hot buttered rum!

I'm really sorry about the whole rain thing. It's been raining here and all the snow is gone, as advertised. Maybe the rain will reach you tomorrow! :) They can't very well expect you to come to work in that much snow! Even if you COULD shovel out your driveway . . . THEN what??

Excellent. I really like winter, even when I'm putting chains on my truck to cross a mountain pass. Wierd, huh!
