Description
I don't know what this little flower is. I didn't plant it, it is kind of a bonus flower that grew in my Bird of Paradise. I purchased the Bird (and 3 more) intending to plant it in my new planter, only to be informed it is a "Giant Bird of Paradise", will grow quickly and most likely knock over the planter stones. (not good if you know how much those suckers cost!) So the birds are waiting for a place to be planted... I could ramble on here, but I am sure you are bored by now.. LOL.

Hey, wake me when it's over...no, just kidding! I wasn't bored by the narrative. I've never heard of or seen a giant Bird of Paradise, so this is all news to me. Interesting about this alternative flower growing out of the Bird. Anyway, a fine POV, lovely lily, with a soft blending of green in this magnificent capture, Melinda!

Do these stems pop out from a main clump of bladed green leaves? The flowers look much like my spider plant. Very delicate and delightful. As for the Bird... I was told there are two varieties...a large one that is mostly leaves and few blooms and one that is many blooms but slightly smaller in size. I've had mine planted in the back for 3 years now and no blooms and it hasn't gotten all the big either.

The only time we see bird of paradise is in the floral shop so have no idea how they grow. What a beautiful picture.
