Description


This is one of the cacti that's commonly called a Christmas Cactus because that's when they usually bloom. Mine of course, doesn't do what anyone else's does, it's morphed into this very weird shape, has big thick spines, but still blooms like heck right when it's supposed to.

I thought mine was alone in its weirdness... I had roots on the leaves too and it bloomed in February!!! Great shot.

Like some giant caterpillar, the cactus stands erect, seeking out its prey. Splendid clarity, soft, translucent colors and lighting effects in this fine capture, Marilyn!
