Description
After the hawk I posted yesterday flew off from the next telephone pole, he flew in front of me in the same patch of blue sky.
But I wanted you to see where he was flying, so I took a picture of the landscape, and then "lowered" in hawk into that image.
The landscape is the White Sands Missile Range, in New Mexico, and just a couple of miles behind that small red and white water
tower in the center of the image is The Trinity Site, where J. Robert Oppenheimer and his crew detonated the first atomic bomb
on July 16, 1945, and afterward said "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds", a misquote from Hindu scripture. It is only
open on two days a year, and anyone can go, as we did 10 or 12 years ago, and stand on the very spot where the bomb went off.
Thanks very kindly for stopping to have a look, and thank you very much for your recent generous comments!

Beautiful compo, Maria. I was there last year; it's such a stark but beautiful place. BTW, do you glow in the dark now?
