LEAVING THE PAST BEHIND
Leaving the past behind,
Making a new start.
Can you really leave the bad behind,
Only take the good?
Sometimes,
The good is so intertwined with the bad,
They can not be separated.
One and the same.
Leaving the past behind,
Sometimes is all or nothing.
It’s all the same memory,
One and the same.
Leaving the past behind.
Has not happened yet.
My past,
Is my future.
Don’t know if I want
To be near and dear.
Means someone cares.
Not sure I want that.
Leaving the past behind,
I was near and dear.
Led to pain.
Bad with the good.
Can’t leave the past behind,
I’m trying to chase my future,
Running from my past,
Walking the path of today.
***No, this is not all of what’s running thru my head. (As usual). And nothing near how I feel. Can’t seem to find the words to express it….
