Description

This is on the bank of the Eel River, in northern California. It's one of the best places to walk, there's a levee that goes about 2 miles north and south. The river changes every day, and every place you see it, you see something different (see my post "The Delta", same day, about 5 miles downstream). I walk here a lot and never get tired of what I see.

I'd love to walk along here, looks delightful. You have captured so many different types of grasses with an amazing mix of colours. They contrast with the Hazey background, nice shot.

I looks lovely. I have been there and I bet walking along the levees is relaxing. Do you see a lot of different bird species there?

I love the varied colors of the plant life here, as well as the whole composition in general. Great sense of color, texture, and place. It strikes me as a restful spot, even if a lot of restless things happen there...it just has that kind of visual vibe and it's fun to look at. Great composition all together.

Holy mackerel! Is that pampas grass I see in the foreground? Seventh heaven! Wonderful image with the low sunlight illuminating the various foliage on the river bank, which contrasts well against the misty background, Marilyn.

I love this. It reminds me of one of your very early posts. Perhaps the same place? Now I'll have to go back and look. Gorgeous shot!
