A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

What a great idea, and yes look at those lovely maniucured hands. I remember one Christmas when my musician son was here. He is a guitarist and wouldn't wash up for fear of actually softening his hands. This is a wonderful addition to your hands series, and what would you call the intruments? - hugs Jane xx

Hi Michel, your Morocco series is very interesting and loaded with beauties, This is a very good one, and hands are always very interesting ....... as you can learn from the old painters from Holland and Belgium ......... they are often fascinated or focusing on hands in their work!!! Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend (hopefully it will be dry tomorrow .... its raining very heavy this evening at the coast!!) Henk

I remember your hand series, this is a fine addition to that. Love the soft hand and a texture of the instrument.

You didn't ask but... (LOL) Moroccan Qraqeb is a handmade instrument made from metal and leather strings. It is made with 4 cymbals also called qraqeb or qraqesh. Each pair of the Qraqeb is connected with a ring to keep them together. Each hand holds one pair by having the thumb hold one side and the other 3 or 4 fingers hold the other side. The cymbals each have 2 holeswith a leather string on it for holding it. This is a magnificent view of the instruments and hands and, what I would say, is a unique portrait of the face of Moroccan music.
