Description

This is a view of the Shannon Estuary through the wall of one of the Monastic Ruins located at Clonmacnoise, County Offaly. Note the patterns worked into the facade of the wall, quite delicate and lovely. As I stated before, the day was just brilliant, and this made for a splendid day of wandering and discovery. If you have not visited this site, I do suggest you make the time for it, and give it the entire day.
