Description

This female mallard was so irritated by some pesky intruder on her skin that she was vigorously preening, biting, and thrashing about in the water. I chose this one for that one feather flying through the air. Thanks very much for your support, your views, and your kind comments!

Every element of this picture is fantastic, especially the colors, the clarity of the water drops, the irritated duck herself, and well...the entire composition. Great work! The feather is a great touch also.

Perfect shutter speed, Maria. Fast enough to stop the duck, but still showing movement in some of the water drops. I, too, love the color separation in the ripples.
