Field Invwstigator Major Ashcroft X. Philo reporting:
When I arrived on the scene, I was able to explain to the locals how they had not seen a UFO but had mistaken the planet Venus, refracted through an inversion layer, which was created from swamp gas. One of the locals asked if that were the case, why were they only seeing this now instead of anytime over the past 60 years that people had been living there, Then one of the other locals showed me this photograph, he had taken with his Brownie Bullseye.
Due to protocal 17, I had no choice but to call in an airstrike to neutralize the town and it's people. In the news media, we will report that the town was blown up from a faulty gas main. The remains will be stored in our bunker at Area 51.

Philo was also seen as a risk, he has disappeared and all that is left of his report is what was seen here, with most of the descriptive elements of detail backened out.
