I took this on my recent trip to Nevada and Utah.the entire trip out was clear except for forest fire smoke over Flagstaff.I seen several forest fires .Grand Canyon is to the northwest of Flagstaff.the mountain visible by Flagstaff is almost 13000 ft above sea level.during clear weather it can be seen for more than 60 miles from the east.Flagstaff has the greatest variance of temperature of any city in the USA thanks for viewing and any comments

I remember it like really cold place. We being driving through and temperature on the termometer in a car dropped about 20 or more degr. Great shot, Richard!!!

Rugged terrain like this makes me look for mine shafts or open pits. Without the rails to point them out you have to hunt.

Pretty cool arial shot...when my family used to drive to CA we always had to detour at Flagstaff...seems all through the 1980's they were doing roadwork :D
