“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.†- Steve Jobs, Apple Inc. RIP

Brilliant work, I love the commentary offered both in the prose and in the image itself. Fantastic, a bit chilling, but also so utterly true to life. I could go on and on about how much I hate the mentality that thinks "releasing" people or "letting them go" to increase company profits is a GOOD thing, but I will refrain from that, especially since this image speaks so clearly for itself. It's expertly rendered, beautifully presented, and both touching and disturbing in subtle, profound ways. Great work.

~ Uli

Well said and a well done image. If you haven't read/seen it already, I'd suggest a book/documentary called "The Corporation" for a look at how and why stuff like this can happen.

Like they say, an article in the Financial Times is worth a thousand pictures.

@broken-wings: Und? Nun haben wir einen weiblichen Kanzler? Was hilfts?

OMG! This was HP 10 years ago when they moved their pre-sales department to Boise Idaho!! Yes, I was one of the "5000", although it wasn't quite that many. Still, to this day ... I am a loyal HP supporter (sometimes it's necessary). Great pic, great message! Thanks Doro

Excellent scene, poses and love the idea behind this....

Amazingly awesome work. :)

Sounds like the same stuff that is going on here. Send all the work to China where they work for a bowl of rice, lay off thousands of US citizens, then wonder why the economy is so bad and no one is buying products. Great render, Doro!
