Description

This is was from early Sunday morning...before the trees started breaking...before school was cancelled...before the power went out for several days. It looked so pretty then...after the first part of the storm. Thanks for looking and all comments/critiques welcomed.

Wonderful POV and landscape. I have seen a few documentaries about ice storms and as you say, everything looks very beautiful at first but, when the weight of the ice starts breaking things, it's a real nightmare.

This is absolutely beautiful! Kinda reminds me of back home, though Iowa is both beautiful and ugly during storms! Love this one-thank you for sharing!

what truly beautiful work. Such a clean and refreshing capture and a real pleasure to view! Altogether a very attractive and very well presented piece indeed. My apologies, for not being around as much, because I'm having to rest my leg because of a deep vein thrombosis. It has been very tiring I'm afraid. Here's wishing you a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and all your loved ones. Steve :o)

Great photo! Love the way you captured the ice on the trees. The only advantage to ice storms like these--is the reminder that nature is beautiful. I can't wait until spring, this winter has been a harsh one. Thanks for sharing this.

It is a beautiful image. I don't know where this is but it reminds me of some of the ice storms I experienced in Connecticut where I grew up. They were usually quite destructive and wreaked havoc with the power grid but I didn't really care. I always thought the beauty they created more or less balanced out the inconvenience they caused. We humans are so arrogant. We expect even Gaia to bend to our will. If we don't adjust our attitude soon, we will learn just how powerful she can be.
