Description

View from the cliffs in st andrews. I could lie and say it was from my recent trip up there but the truth is i didnt take my camera out of the bag until the way back down south where i got the shots of the forth bridges... So yeah - this was taken in May this year when i was still a student (technically). Must have been after my exams when i had nothing better to do but go out and take photos :) Just browsing through old stuff and this one popped up at me screaming to be made into eye candy calmness... so i did. And thought you might want to see the result. No-one else does really, as i only post on here with any regularity. Thanks for stopping by to take a looksie. Enjoy! Rich. Edited to add - if you look to the right - the manmade wall is the harbour wall where i have taken a few photos in my gallery from. Either from the wall (Castle Sunset), on the wall (Meditation), looking at the wall from the beach at low tide (Sea Wall), looking at a detail on the wall (Ladder), of the wall as it is part of the harbour (Harbour),or simply of the wall itself (Into the Mist). ;)

You're right it is really calm, but what strikes me the most is the difference in colour temp and strength of the ground and sky. And to add to the pastel feel the sky is less sharp than the grass. Which I think is a perfect combo!!!
