Description

I thought about calling this "The Princess Buttercup," but that just wouldn't be right. She was a very nice person. This is an invasive, awful, evil weed, and it's taking over the world, starting with MY garden! LOL! I'm trying to see the beauty in everything, but this is really stretching my limits. This is a shot I took last Spring. I'm doing a little housecleaning while it's Winter and there's not a lot to look at up here.

Yes, there are some nasty little things out there, just waiting for a chance to take over the world. This is indeed one of them, but it sure makes for a great foto!!

I have this and I think its so dainty and lovely. But it does get in everything. If you find a name for it, let me know. Or a way to control it somehow. I really do think you got some incredible details in this.

Something so nasty shouldn't be allowed to be so pretty. This is a great shot of it, even if it is evil. Life isn't fair that things we want to grow don't, and those things we wish would die just seem to thrive.

It is a pretty look thing for being such a nasty invasive entity...but nevertheless it makes for a nice image..nicely done..

They do grow everywhere, but you can't help but say they are so pretty. a fine detailed macro you have taken here, just look at those tiny hairs on the edges of the leaf. Top marks !

I couldn't agree more. I hope it doesn't get into your lawn. Excellent photo, though. If you didn't know what it was you'd think it was a bright cheery thing.

I have just been outside to get the milk and my car is covered in frost, I come back to this and the chill goes away and everything is warm again. I have not seen a buttercup for years and years. So for me this is a warming image. Excellent shot Tara, thanks for this little ray of sunlight. Bravo!!!!!

I love this 'weed', especially where it grows in the wild. I have actually bought 2 varieties of double celandine which are even prettier and less invasive. One of them is white, when they flower I'll post their portraits.
